St. John is the Hidden Gem of the Virgin Islands
To recycle a tired old cliché, delightful things often come in diminutive packages. Surveying the Caribbean, there are many islands to choose from that convey a message of exoticism, relaxation and jaw-dropping beauty that make your hometown landscape seem black and white in comparison, and some of these islands are easier to spot than others. When deciding on your next island vacation, don't overlook St. John; it's relatively tiny but packs a big punch and does an incredible job of making you feel like you're far, far away.
Much of St. John's allure revolves around the fact that two thirds of the island is pure, untouched nature. Protected by the United States as designated national park land, these hills, valleys, forests and beaches are untainted and lush, brimming with wildlife and Technicolor beauty. This is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands, but once you set foot on the soil of this impressive place you'll be convinced that 28 square miles is more than enough to make your getaway supremely satisfying.
Tours led by knowledgeable guides will acquaint you with the sights of the island, or if you're feeling adventurous you can head out on your own and just let the peaceful ambiance overcome you. Whether you're nestled into a jeep or walking along the path with no particular itinerary in mind, this will be a good first activity to get you in the vacation mood, if you're still hanging on to that last bit of stress, that is.
The beaches are the best part about St. John. From scenic Rams Head to the white sandy wonderland that is Trunk Bay, you'll feel like you've stumbled onto a very well-kept secret as you survey the scene. That's another plus; crowds tend to be thinner here than in other Caribbean isles, perhaps because it's tucked away from the main thoroughfare or maybe people just don't know what they're missing. Either way, it's to your advantage. Enjoy the beaches without feeling trampled upon, and pretend like you've escaped to your own tailor-made hideaway in the clear blue ocean.
The run-through isn't over yet; we've yet to visit the place nicknamed Love City. Cruz Bay is a little more action packed than St. John's other spots, as it is the home of shops, grocery stores, gear and jeep rental services and restaurants. This will be the home base for your scuba diving adventures, and where you can stock up on souvenirs and staples to take back to your vacation rental. Don't expect a bustling city atmosphere or anything, but it gets the job done in a pleasingly laid-back way.
The climate and conditions of St. John make it ideal for plant growth, and a common activity involves taking a flower tour. Heavenly orchids dot the hills, century plants add a sense of time and history, and the Red Ginger's ruby color will cause you to continually marvel at its vibrancy. Hibiscus, prickly pear cactus, Hanging Heliconia and the Bananaquit, the official bird of the island, will all delight your senses as you meander through the wonderful world of St. John.
In addition to all of this, there are boat tours, horseback riding, windsurfing, fishing, surfing and paragliding to keep you busy. Many visitors find it not only worthwhile but ideal to snag a St. John Vacation Rental that will make your home away from home as comfortable as possible. If you're taking the time to traipse all the way to the Caribbean for what is certainly a hard-earned vacation, you may as well treat yourself to a well-rounded and pampering experience on all fronts. Vacation rentals allow for the possibilities of breakfast in bed, cocktails on your private patio, naps in the middle of the afternoon, and short strolls to the beach, among other things. Seeing this island through the windows of a cute cottage on the shoreline or a fabulous Oceanside villa will make this dreamy vacation even dreamier, so at least check out the options as you start to plan your trip.
St. John is a true find, and one that you should make an effort to seek out. It's not the biggest or the most well-known Caribbean isle, but that's something that will become your gain and everyone else's loss.

Comic Stores
If you are interested in purchasing comics then you must first look for the nearest comic store in your neighborhood. Reading comic books has been a great pastime for many people as they grew up and some like me are still huge enthusiast on the comic book era. As I grew up I was always interested in all the comic books that where out there. I always believed that I would become a masked avenger like Batman and save my city from crime. Without the comic stores being there to fill in my boredom you never know what I would have been up too.
The stores which were open until late I might add, where a source of getting rid of my boredom and I would spend ours there flipping through various comic books make sure I had filled my head with great dreams before I would go home. Comic stores have provided me with a sanctuary where I could hide and set my worries away. I don’t do much reading of comics nowadays since I actually moved on to novels and real life stuff, but I still pick up a comic from time to time never forgetting my superhero friends that helped me out during my childhood. In fact I can truly say that they saved me which means they actually where heroes in my book.
Comic stores are a dime a dozen nowadays but there are a few in every neighborhood and they are the best place to go look for your favorite comic book, whether it’s DC Comics own Batman, Robin and off course Superman or it is Marvel comic the Avengers, Spiderman, X-Men and many more. No matter what superhero my comic store was where I would find them.

FAQ - Who Is Tintin The Belgian Boy Detective?
Tintin is a young Belgian reporter who through heroic action solves mysteries that are presented at the start of each comic book. Tintin was first introduced to the world in Tintin in the Land of the Soviets. Created by George Remi the first adventure was released in a Belgium paper in 1929-1930.
Tintin and the Land of the Soviets was a political satire that poked fun at the Soviets claims to having a thriving economy and found an audience due to many people's unease with the Soviet Empire. Remi himself had distrust for the Soviet Empire.
The Tintin comic series have an almost formulaic feel about it. Most of the books deal with Tintin having to solve a mystery of some kind whilst also having to write a story for his paper.
Tintin and The Black Island is a good example of how the books work. In The Black Island Tinitn sees a plane make an emergency landing and goes to try and help. As Tintin goes to the pilot's aid the pilot shoots him. Tintin then recovers in hospitable where he finds out that a similar plane crashed in a field in Sussex from the detectives Thompson and Thompson.
Tintin then obviously decides to investigate the mystery for himself. The adventure thus starts leading Tintin to be accused of assault and theft of a fellow passenger on a train journey and later kidnapped and forced to jump off a cliff (saved by his dog snowy before he is made too). The trail leads to an Island off Scotland where stories of a strange beast is said to kill humans. Tintin discovers the Island to be the hideout of forgers and cleverly captures them and holds them till the police arrive.
Tintin is always able to solve the mysteries that are put before him although some are set over two books such as Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon. Tintin may solve these mysteries but funnily enough he not often seen handing in a article. The end of the comic strips often sees him receiving a hero's reception along with Captain Haddock and Snowy.
Tintin is a heroic young man but lacks the color of many of the other characters that appear in the comic books. He shows more or less neutral attitudes that make him understandable and easier to identify with for the target audience and why Spielberg and Jackson hope to capture the audiences' attention

BLADE COMIC BOOK MOVIES AND OTHER MEDIA
Created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan in 1973, the first Blade comic book appearance as a supporting character in The Tomb of Dracula #10 by Marvel Comics. Over the years, Blade appeared in back-up stories and made guest appearances, but it wasn't until the mid 90s when the first Blade comic book came out. From there, Blade gained popularity and eventually branched out into other forms of media.
In 1998, the first Blade comic book adaptation to the big screen was released. Starring Wesley Snipes as the Daywalker, and Kris Kristofferson as Whistler, the film centered around Blade wanting to avenge the death of his mother by vampires. Meanwhile, the pure blood vampires have gone to war with those that have been turned from humans. As the film progresses Blade learns that his mother has been turned, and that it was the head vampire, Frost, that bit her while she was pregnant, which is why Blade has the symptoms of vampires, but none of the weaknesses. The film was loosely based on the Blade comic book stories, though chiefly the latter ones, and is sometimes thought of as the film that started the comic movie revolution as it predated the first Spider-Man film.
Blade II, the sequel to the first film, also loosely based on the Blade comic book, came out in 2002 following the success of other comic related films like Spider-Man and X-Men. In this film there is a new breed of vampires called Reapers that feeds on both humans and vampires thanks to an irresistible and enhanced bloodlust. Those that survive the attacks of the Reapers become Reapers themselves. To stop the Reapers, Blade is forced to team up with the regular vampires, the Bloodpack of the Shadow Council as neither alone could defeat them. Eventually, of course, the Bloodpack betray him and he has to defeat them all on his own. Luckily he finally learns that ultraviolet light kills the Reapers. This particular Blade comic book film is the most popular of the three and did the best at the box office of the three as well.
The third Blade comic book film was Blade: Trinity, and was released in 2004. The vampires concoct a plan to have Blade blamed for killing humans, and they are successful at doing so. Now on the run from the FBI, Blade must unite with the Nightstalkers, a group of human vampire hunters led by Whistler's daughter, and they go on the hunt for the original vampire Drake, aka Dracula.
The future of the Blade comic book films is uncertain now after a lawsuit filed by Snipes, and now that Snipes is serving a prison term for federal income tax crimes.
In other media, two video games based on the first two Blade comic book films were released for the Playstation and XBox platforms. And a short-lived television series based on the Blade comic book movies was shown on Spike in 2006.
